Holidays: mirror of the massive global factory. Holidays: proposing as idyllic a distortion of human life while liquidating the hard won savings of workers built up over the year. Holidays: the safety valve and breath of fresh air without which the poor might eat the rich. Holidays: images sold to those whose lives are ground down on the wheel. Holidays: paid for by the minimal tax on profits that big companies allow and that do not go into the bare survival of the workers whose labour, stolen and policed by the structure of the modern State, feed the rich for a life the poor can only imagine. Holidays: the dream is even fake to the core.
