Occam’s Razor


Parsimony, economy, or succinctness in logic and problem-solving. Among competing hypotheses, the hypothesis with the fewest assumptions should be selected. “Pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate” (Duns Scotus). “Plurality is not to be posited without necessity.” Hundreds and hundreds of years of simpletons making moronic decisions armed with the weird authority of simplicity. It’s patently bullshit. Enter Robert Anton Wilson.
